What do long-term volunteers do?All VIA volunteers work on building English language capacity. You will work either with an educational institution as an English teacher, with a local non-profit organization as an English resource volunteer, or some combination of the two. Some of the organizations we work with focus on specific sectors which will allow volunteers to build and use their experience in areas such as education, the environment, gender, health and disability issues, migration, minority empowerment, or rural and community development. VIA's one- and two-year positions allow individuals to volunteer with underserved institutions for an extended period of time. If you are interested in living in Asia and
volunteering with a community that values your contributions, VIA is
interested in you. We have ongoing relationships with underserved
institutions where your English skills will be highly appreciated.
