Volunteer Support

Volunteers are supported by our Asia program team based in the field and backed up by staff in San Francisco. Our current team is comprised of a part-time field coordinator in China, full-time field coordinator in Indonesia, full-time Southeast Asia program director based in Cambodia and a program director based in San Francisco. Staff support volunteers through:

• Visits to volunteer locations
• Regular check-ins with partners and volunteers
• Coaching volunteers through a goal setting and evaluation cycle 
• Trouble-shooting with partners during emergencies

In addition to staff support, all our volunteers are supported by English-speaking staff at each volunteer assignment and a network of current and former volunteers.

All our volunteers are enrolled in a comprehensive emergency medical and evacuation insurance plan that includes $100,000 in coverage and 24-hour support. Our current insurance policy can be downloaded here: Insurance Policy
