In-country Training
After pre-departure training, new volunteers depart for training in Asia. China volunteers spend training in one location in China while our Southeast Asia volunteers typically will spend the first two weeks in one location in Southeast Asia before traveling to language training in their host countries. VIA's three to four week in-country training includes:
Annual Conference
Our mid-year conference is a VIA tradition designed to allow volunteers to reflect on their program together, share successful strategies, and plan for the second half of the year. Conference is usually held in-country for five days during the winter holidays. VIA funds conference lodging and transportation to and from volunteer assignments. |
