ESI Program Opportunities

Stanford students will have the opportunity to exchange culture and knowledge through two types of positions in the ESI program: as a Coordinator or a Mentor. Stanford undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to apply. The coordinator position is a full-time commitment during spring break and the mentor position asks for a three-day commitment. Job responsibilities are outlined below.

Responsibilities: Responsibilities:
  • Design and deliver a workshop on entrepreneurial or design thinking
  • Plan & lead 4 social innovation visits, discussions, and/or speakers
  • Run daily debriefing sessions
  • Coordinate advisory panel for students' social business plans
  • Support development of a participant-led social business project to address a social in Japan
  • Attend preparatory meetings & a minimum of 8 days of the two-week program
  • Design and deliver a workshop on entrepreneurial or design thinking
  • Plan & lead 1 social innovation visit
  • Attend at least 3 days of the two-week program
Compensation: Compensation:
  • Program expenses
  • $700 stipend towards a trip to Japan (scheduled during mid to late June 2012)
  • Partial program expenses
  • $100 honorarium

*Note: Staff is not required to attend activities that overlap with exams or classes.
